$BTC The Bitcoin ecosystem is growing in Paraguay driven by mining and education

Large mining companies like HIVE, as well as educational organizations like My First Bitcoin, have landed on Guarani soil. Paraguay has been consolidating itself as a key center for the Bitcoin ecosystem in Latin America, with a boom in mining and advances in financial education based on this digital currency.

Large mining companies are expanding their operations in the country, while educational organizations train citizens to promote the adoption of this technology. This movement reflects the growing interest in Bitcoin in the Guarani nation, which combines energy infrastructure with educational initiatives. My First Bitcoin, a non-profit organization founded in 2021 in El Salvador, brought its Bitcoin Diploma to Paraguay for the first time. In a workshop held in Asunción, 25 participants were trained as instructors in a program that combines the fundamentals of Bitcoin, the history of money, and economic systems.

The initiative, organized by My First Bitcoin Paraguay with the support of the local company Penguin Group, marked a milestone for the organization, which has impacted communities in 36 countries. The workshop, called Master Teacher Certification Program in Paraguay, attracted more than 50 applications, but only 25 were selected to ensure the quality of the training, according to reports from that company.

The Bitcoin Diploma, composed of 10 chapters, covers everything from the evolution of money to how distributed ledger technology works. Participants, coming from various regions of Paraguay, received pedagogical tools to deliver dynamic workshops tailored to their communities.

“We are forming a community of educators who promote financial education based on Bitcoin,” said Bruno Vaccotti, facilitator of My First Bitcoin Paraguay, as reported in a press release.
