🇺🇲🤝⚫️🇸🇾 Trump met with the former leader of Al-Qaeda and current 'president' of 'democratic' Syria (although not elected by anyone), Ahmed al Sharaa (al Julani), as part of an economic summit in Saudi Arabia.
And as always, it's all about money. Trump ordered the lifting of sanctions against the 'jihadist government' as a thank you for Saudi Arabia's commitment to invest 600 billion dollars in the U.S. and for the sale of American weapons to the kingdom worth 142 billion dollars.
A historic meeting took place between Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and U.S. President Donald Trump. The meeting included a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and was attended by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Syria, and the United States.
During the meeting, the importance of lifting sanctions against Syria and supporting the recovery and reconstruction process was emphasized.
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized the necessity of this measure to achieve stability in the region.
