Ethereum and Dogecoin made headlines on Wednesday, both rising by about 9% in a single day, extending a week-long upward trend. Ethereum rose above $2,600, while Dogecoin increased to around $0.24, lifting the overall market mood into positive territory despite some macroeconomic headwinds.

Today's Cryptocurrency Market

The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies jumped by 1.7%, with Bitcoin stabilizing around $103,700. However, while green candles continue to flash, traders are proceeding with caution. The strength of the US dollar and renewed trade tensions have put some nerves on edge, increasing the risk of short-term profit-taking, especially with Bitcoin fluctuating near its highs.

Analysts are divided on Bitcoin's next direction. Alex Kupertzski from FxPro noted that the strength of the dollar is putting natural pressure on cryptocurrency markets. At the same time, QCP Capital highlighted that Bitcoin seems caught between two narratives, one as a safe haven and the other as a risky asset, creating a state of uncertainty in the market.
