Quip Network co-founder Colton Dillion, this dog white left can't create inventions, Bitcoin was invented by the great Satoshi Nakamoto, how can you, this dog white left, point fingers and create panic to manipulate the market?
According to PANews, Quip Network co-founder Colton Dillion stated that quantum computing technology could pose a threat to blockchain security. Companies like Google and Microsoft are accelerating research and development, and their computing power may be able to break cryptographic algorithms.
Dillion described a quantum computing-supported double spend attack, where an attacker only needs about 26% of the traditional 51% attack power to control the top 10,000 largest wallets and roll back the transaction chain. Bitcoin developers have proposed quantum-resistant solutions like QRAMP, but community governance is slow.
Traditional governance processes such as Bitcoin BIP and Ethereum EIP take years to reach consensus. Dillion pointed out that the speed of quantum threats evolves faster than the protocol's response capability. Quip Network has launched quantum-resistant vaults, but the industry needs fundamental solutions.
