Funding Rate for Perpetual Contracts
Funding fees only appear in perpetual contracts and are designed to balance the price difference between contracts and spot prices, reflecting the long-short ratio in the market.
Typically, the funding rate is set at 0.01% by default and is settled three times a day at 0:00, 8:00, and 16:00.
Only positions held at the settlement time will incur funding fees.
In special market conditions, the platform may actively adjust the funding rate and settlement times, so it's important to pay close attention.
When the funding rate is positive at the settlement time, long positions pay and short positions receive.
When the funding rate is negative at the settlement time, short positions pay and long positions receive.
Funding fees are paid mutually between long and short positions.
