🚨 NEWS: Amid ongoing discussions between Senate D’s and R’s about a path forward on the GENIUS Act, something to consider —

According to Senate rules, this next vote on the bill (whenever it may be) will be the last chance to get it right in its current form.

Under Rule 13 of the Standing Rules of the Senate, if @LeaderJohnThune’s motion to reconsider is rejected, or if the Senate reaffirms its original decision not to advance the bill through cloture, the legislation cannot move forward to an amendment process and final passage unless the entire Senate unanimously agrees to revisit it, which almost never happens.

Bottom line — there’s now a LOT of pressure on the Senate to get this right.
