According to Bloomberg, Thailand’s Finance Ministry plans to issue G-Token, a 5 billion baht ($150 million) digital investment token within two months to raise funds under the current budget borrowing plan. It remains unclear whether G-Token is related to former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s previous proposal to issue a government bond-backed stablecoin.
