Announcement No. 7 of 2025 by the Tariff Commission
In order to implement the important consensus of the high-level China-U.S. economic and trade talks, according to laws and regulations such as the (Customs Law of the People's Republic of China), (Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China), and the basic principles of international law, and with the approval of the State Council, starting from May 14, 2025, at 12:01 PM, adjustments will be made to the tariff measures on imported goods originating from the United States. The relevant matters are as follows:
1. Adjust the tariff rate stipulated in the (Announcement of the Tariff Policy Committee of the State Council on the Tariff Measures for Imported Goods Originating from the United States) (Announcement No. 4 of 2025) from 34% to 10%, and suspend the implementation of the 24% tariff rate on U.S. imports for 90 days.
2. Cease the implementation of the tariff measures stipulated in the (Announcement of the Tariff Policy Committee of the State Council on Adjusting Tariff Measures for Imported Goods Originating from the United States) (Announcement No. 5 of 2025) and (Announcement of the Tariff Policy Committee of the State Council on Adjusting Tariff Measures for Imported Goods Originating from the United States) (Announcement No. 6 of 2025).
