Starting from May 13, 2025, the Alpha points consumption mechanism will be implemented. When users successfully participate in token generation events (TGE) or receive an airdrop, the system will deduct a certain number of Alpha points, but the RDAC airdrop launched on May 13 on the Binance Alpha platform is not subject to this rule.
There are analyses and speculations that the number of points consumed each time may be around 50 - 100 points, but this is just based on factors such as airdrop frequency and point acquisition difficulty, and not official accurate information.
In addition, eligible users must have at least 15,000 Alpha points to receive an airdrop. Alpha points are composed of balance points and trading volume points, and are a scoring system specifically designed to assess user activity in the Binance Alpha sector and Binance wallet ecosystem. The number of points directly determines whether users can participate in token generation events (TGE) or Alpha token airdrops. The calculation method is as follows:
Balance points:
Based on the total asset balance of users in their Binance CEX account (main account) and non-custodial wallet (including Alpha tokens and tokens that were displayed in the Alpha section and are now listed on the spot market). For total asset values between $100 and less than $1,000, earn 1 point per day; for total asset values between $1,000 and less than $10,000, earn 2 points per day; for total asset values between $10,000 and less than $100,000, earn 3 points per day; for total asset values of $100,000 and above, earn 4 points per day.
Trading volume points:
Based on the total amount spent by users to purchase Alpha tokens on the Binance Alpha platform and non-custodial wallet (only counting purchases, sales are not counted). Purchase tokens worth $2 to earn 1 point; purchase tokens worth $4 to earn 2 points; purchase tokens worth $8 to earn 3 points; purchase tokens worth $16 to earn 4 points; purchase tokens worth $32 to earn 5 points. After that, for every doubling of the purchase amount, an additional point is granted, such as purchasing $64 earns 6 points, purchasing $128 earns 7 points, and so on.
However, for different specific airdrop activities, the Alpha points requirements may vary. For example, users who meet the conditions and have at least 153 Alpha points will receive 165 OBOL tokens in the airdrop within 20 minutes after the OBOL trading starts on May 7, 2025. Users with points between 116 and 152 (inclusive) and whose Binance UID ends with 6 will also receive this airdrop. In the BOOP token airdrop event, users need at least 137 Alpha points to receive the basic airdrop, while users with points between 99 and 136 and whose UID ends with 4 can receive a lucky airdrop. Additionally, in the DOOD token airdrop, eligible Binance users with at least 168 Alpha points will receive 9,873 DOOD tokens in the airdrop within 10 minutes after the Alpha trading starts.
