Hey everyone, today I want to talk about how to handle risk control issues when trading cryptocurrencies on the Binance app. This is experience I’ve accumulated from my time in the crypto world, so make sure to take notes!
1. Don't Panic, Analyze Calmly
When you find that trading triggers risk control, take a deep breath and calm down. Reflect on whether you have had any abnormal logins, frequent operations, or unusual fund movements. For example, have you just logged into Binance from an unfamiliar device, or have you been making frequent large transactions in a short period? If you have engaged in these behaviors, it might not be a coincidence that risk control is contacting you.
2. Check Account Security
1️⃣ Confirm Login Device and Location: Recall the devices and locations you have recently logged into Binance from, and check if you have operated from an unfamiliar device. If so, this might have raised suspicions for risk control. In the future, try to log in from familiar devices. If you must log in from a new device, ensure you have adequate security measures in place, such as installing antivirus software.
2️⃣ View Transaction History: Carefully check recent transaction records to see if there are any transactions that you did not authorize. If you find any abnormal transactions, contact Binance customer service promptly, provide relevant evidence, and ask them to assist in the investigation. This also reminds us to always pay attention to our account's trading dynamics and to take immediate action if any abnormalities occur.
3️⃣ Contact Customer Service: If after your analysis you feel that there are no issues with your account, you should contact Binance customer service promptly. When contacting customer service, clearly and accurately describe the problem, including the risk control situation you encountered, any abnormal account behaviors, and the relevant actions you took. For example, you could say: 'I found my account was under risk control at [specific time], I logged in from [specific device], but I have not made any abnormal transactions.' This way, customer service can better assist you in analyzing the issue and provide you with targeted solutions.
4️⃣ Submit Required Materials: Binance customer service may request you to submit some materials to assist with the investigation, such as identity verification, transaction receipts, and device information. You should prepare and submit these materials as quickly as possible according to their requirements to expedite the resolution of the issue and restore normal trading. For example, if they need a copy of your ID, make a copy and clearly label it 'For Binance Risk Control Investigation Only' before submitting.
5️⃣ Summarize Experiences and Lessons: After experiencing this risk control incident, regardless of whether the issue has been resolved, you should reflect on the experience and lessons learned. Consider your previous trading habits and develop good trading habits to avoid triggering risk control again. For instance, I used to want to make a lot of money too quickly, leading to frequent trading and resulting in constant risk control warnings. Then I got smarter, controlled my trading frequency, and carefully analyzed the market before each trade, which improved my situation significantly.
