#CryptoRoundTableRemarks Crypto Roundtable Talks – Why Isn’t ETH Breaking Out Like BTC, XRP & SOL?
At the latest crypto roundtable, one question stood out: Why is Ethereum (ETH) lagging behind while Bitcoin, XRP, and Solana make strong moves?
The answer lies in market cycles and shifting sentiment. Bitcoin is surging as a safe-haven asset, fueled by ETF momentum and institutional adoption. XRP gained clarity from its partial legal victory, and Solana is riding high on ecosystem growth and fast transaction speeds.
Ethereum, however, is in a consolidation phase. It’s transitioning technically and structurally—from the Merge to upcoming scalability upgrades. These changes are vital, but they take time to reflect in price action.
Also, Ethereum’s wide use in DeFi, NFTs, and smart contracts makes it more exposed to broader dApp activity, which has been quieter compared to its 2021 peak.
But don’t count ETH out—its fundamentals remain strong. Once confidence returns to the DeFi space and network upgrades kick in, ETH could stage its own breakout.
In short, Ethereum is not sleeping—it’s loading.
