#CryptoRoundTableRemarks The *crypto roundtable* is an initiative launched by the *Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)* of the United States to establish a clear regulatory framework for digital assets. The first session, titled *« How We Got Here and How We Get Out – Defining Security Status »*, took place on March 21, 2025, in Washington, D.C., under the leadership of Commissioner Hester Peirce. Legal experts, investors, and academics participated to discuss the classification of crypto-assets under securities laws. This series of discussions, called *« Spring Sprint Toward Crypto Clarity »*, aims to replace the SEC's previous enforcement-focused approach with collaboration with the industry to develop rules tailored to the specifics of cryptocurrencies. Upcoming sessions will address topics such as trading, custody, tokenization, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
