The official ZKsync account on Twitter (formerly X) was briefly compromised to promote a fake ZK token airdrop.

The fraudulent post claimed that every follower was entitled to participate in the initial token supply. It directed users to a suspicious link: "distribution-zksync.io".

The post remained active for about 15 minutes before being removed. So far, ZKsync has not issued any public statement confirming the breach.

Despite the hack, there has not yet been a significant immediate impact on the price of the ZK token. However, further consequences may materialize if user trust is undermined.
