What is human nature? It is beastly nature.
To understand women, one must engage with more women. To understand men, one must engage with more men. This world is composed of men and women; how men and women relate is how this world operates.
Therefore, to understand the world, one must first understand men and women; they are all human, they all have human nature. What is human nature? It is beastly nature: greed, material desire, selfishness, survival—these are the most fundamental physiological needs of humans.
Human nature, physiologically, is not much different from that of animals; the biggest difference lies in the cultivation of qualities learned postnatally. Those who do not learn are essentially no different from beasts, and some may even be inferior to beasts. Hence, the "Three Character Classic" states: those who do not learn are worse than animals.
A person can only break free from ignorance and darkness through learning. Those who are uneducated and arrogant, believing themselves to be the best in the world, are unaware of their own limitations. Without a sense of gratitude, they will inevitably suffer losses.
