WHAT ARE WHALES IN CRYPTO AND WHY DO THEY MATTER?

Are you just starting out in crypto?

This post is for you

✅ Easy to understand

✅ No jargon

✅ I'm also learning

When I started in crypto, I saw posts that said "whales are accumulating", "whales moved their funds", and I felt completely lost.

Today I share with you what I understood in simple words:

A whale is a person, group, or entity that has a large amount of a cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin or Ethereum.

For example, someone who has more than 1,000 BTC can already be considered a whale.

Why does it matter? Because when a whale buys or sells, it can move the market price. Imagine it like an elephant entering a pool: everyone feels the wave.

Sometimes whales buy quietly.

Other times they make moves that generate panic or euphoria. That’s why many traders follow their movements closely.

And you? Did you already know what a whale was or did it sound strange to you at first?

Leave me a comment if you're learning like I am.
