According to a BeInCrypto report from the second week of May 2025, cryptocurrency whales showed significant interest in altcoins instead of stablecoins.
The report highlighted that Ethereum (ETH) experienced notable accumulation by large holders, with a 374% increase in its net flow, driven by the moderate stance of the U.S. Federal Reserve and the successful implementation of its Pectra upgrade.
In addition to ETH, Apecoin (APE) and Polygon (POL) were also subject to considerable buying activity by whales. Whale addresses accumulated 640,000 APE, raising their holdings to the highest level since November 2022. Meanwhile, Polygon also experienced notable inflows from large investors. This trend suggests growing confidence among whales in the growth potential of these altcoins.
