- The US will reduce tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30%, while China will reduce import tariffs on US goods from 125% to 10%. This agreement will take effect within 90 days, following a week of intense negotiations in Geneva, Switzerland.
- The two countries also agreed to establish a new dialogue mechanism, led by Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. Discussions will be held alternately in China, the US, or a third country, aimed at continuing to resolve economic and trade issues.
