#ETHCrossed2500 🔥

The Pectra upgrade is the most significant update to Ethereum since The Merge in 2022, combining two major hard forks: Prague (execution layer) and Electra (consensus layer). The upgrade includes 11 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) focused on scalability, staking, security, user experience, and developer tools.

🟢 Some highlights:

EIP-7251: Increases the staking limit for validators from 32 to 2,048 ETH. This allows for more efficient staking and reduces the number of validators, alleviating network congestion and improving blockchain performance.

EIP-7702: Enables account abstraction for regular wallets (EOA), allowing for advanced functionalities such as transaction aggregation and gas payments with other tokens. This improves user experience and lays the groundwork for future smart wallet functionalities.

EIP-7742 & 7691: Expands the blob space by an additional 50%, facilitating faster transactions and lower costs. This prepares for future scalability measures and enhances data provisioning capabilities for Layer 2.

EIP-6110 & 7002: Improves the automatic staking participation and withdrawal process. Staking deposits are processed directly on the consensus layer, reducing security risks and shortening wait times for new validators. This makes the staking process easier and safer.

🎯 Main goal:

To comprehensively enhance the performance of the Ethereum network — faster, cheaper, more secure, and more user and developer-friendly.

📌 Note:

- ETH users and investors do not need to do anything.

- Ethereum node operators need to update their client to the new version.
