🚨!Meme Coins at #solana : 98% Are Potential Scams!
A recent investigation by Solidus Labs reveals a grim outlook for meme coin enthusiasts on the Pump.fun platform. An astonishing 98.6% of the tokens created between January 2024 and March 2025 are flagged as possible scams or "pump-and-dump" schemes. Of the more than seven million tokens issued, only about 97,000 managed to maintain liquidity above $1,000.
The ease and low fees of Solana have driven the creation of these speculative assets, with Pump.fun leading this trend. However, its bonus curve model, while benefiting early buyers, often leaves late investors with significant losses. Additionally, manipulation strategies such as "same-block sniping" have been detected.
This surge has also generated legal scrutiny, with two class-action lawsuits against Pump.fun for alleged securities violations and excessive fee charging. Even its livestream feature was suspended after being used to promote fraudulent tokens, causing a considerable drop in its revenue. The warning is clear: caution with meme coins on Solana!
