🇺🇸🇨🇳 The USA and China have agreed to a complete reset of relations — Trump
According to Donald Trump, during 10 hours of negotiations in Geneva with the participation of U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, the parties discussed key trade issues and reached an agreement on most of them.
In particular, the discussions focused on high tariffs: 145% from the U.S. and 125% from China, which effectively paralyzed trade between the two countries amounting to $600 billion a year.
Trump expressed hope for a reduction of tariffs to 50–60% and the opening of the Chinese market to American businesses.
Chinese media referred to the meeting as "an important step forward," although no specific decisions have been recorded yet.
