The European Union is putting an end to anonymity in crypto transactions. Starting from July 1, 2027, any transfer exceeding 1000 euros will require the precise identity of the sender and receiver to be disclosed. According to Pascal Donohoe, head of the Eurogroup, these new Anti-Money Laundering Rules (AMLR) now clearly place blockchain and digital assets under the direct supervision of European authorities.
