Since his first appearance at the age of 15 against Betis in April 2023, Lamine has emerged as one of Barcelona's brightest stars, and now he stands on the brink of his second league title - after shining in the Euro, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Copa del Rey, Real Madrid has had the lion's share of his creativity.

This season, he has turned into a real nightmare for the Merengues: he scored a goal in Barcelona's 0-4 victory in La Liga at the Bernabéu, netted the equalizer in the Super Cup final before assisting a fourth goal for Balde, and provided two assists in the Copa del Rey final (for Pedri and Torres) to directly contribute to winning the cup.

Despite the racist insults he faced at the Bernabéu, Yamal did not back down, but rather took on the challenge in light of the defensive absences of Real (Mendy and Alaba) and in preparation for a fourth encounter against defender Fran Garcia.

Carlo Ancelotti failed to find a solution for him, despite the team suffering from him repeatedly, even last season when a legitimate goal was disallowed for him at the Bernabéu by a controversial decision from the referee and VAR.
