ChainCatcher reports that Coin Track Daily has reported that Vietnam has launched an ambitious project called 1Matrix, aimed at creating the country's first self-developed Layer 1 blockchain. The project is jointly promoted by well-known institutions such as Techcombank, Techcom Securities, Masterise Group, and One Mount Group, and has now partnered with the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA).
Unlike the Layer 1 blockchain platform Ronin previously developed by the gaming startup Sky Mavis, 1Matrix is designed as a multifunctional blockchain aimed at serving the strategic priorities of multiple industries in Vietnam. The project is not only technically significant but also carries a nationalistic tone, with the goal of enhancing data sovereignty, strengthening cybersecurity, and elevating Vietnam's position on the global stage.
As a core project under the "Made in Vietnam" concept, 1Matrix has received high-level support, including from General Dang Vu Son, the former head of the government’s Cryptography Committee, and has established a strategic alliance with the Boston Consulting Group.
