Bitcoin surpasses Amazon and becomes the fifth largest asset globally by market value!
Bitcoin continued its strong rise, reaching a market value of about $2.06 trillion during trading on Friday, securing the fifth position among the largest assets in the world by market value.
This increase was driven by the rise in Bitcoin's price following the announcement of a trade agreement between the United States and the United Kingdom, which boosted optimism regarding progress in trade relations between Washington and Beijing.
With this achievement, Bitcoin surpassed the market value of Amazon, which currently stands at $2.04 trillion, pushing the latter down to sixth place globally, ahead of Google and silver.
Bitcoin recorded an increase of 2.3% to trade at $103,558.80 at 11:09 AM Mecca time, after having touched a level of $104,324.65 earlier in the session.
Despite this strong performance, Bitcoin still lags behind gold, and tech giants Microsoft, Apple, and Nvidia in the rankings of the highest valued assets worldwide.
