With BTC's strong breakthrough of the $100,000 mark, the call of 'the bull market is here' has echoed throughout the crypto market. Historical data shows that altcoin season often starts after Bitcoin enters a consolidation phase. Currently, BTC's market capitalization still accounts for as much as 48%, but on-chain fund monitoring indicates that some profit-taking is gradually flowing into the altcoin sector.
Taking DOGE as an example, the current price is $0.22, but there is still a threefold space to its historical high of $0.74. According to Glassnode statistics, during the previous three altcoin season outbreaks, the average increase of the top 50 altcoins by market capitalization reached 380%-650%, and the outbreak periods are often concentrated within 4-8 weeks after BTC reaches a historical high. It is recommended to pay close attention to two key indicators: the growth rate of USDT market capitalization (currently increasing by 3.2% this month) and the trading volume proportion of CEX altcoins (currently 42%). If the latter breaks through 60%, it may indicate the full onset of altcoin season.
