Federal Revenue adopts blockchain for access to public data
The new rule, published today (09), requires federal public administration bodies to adopt APIs or permissioned blockchains to access data from the Federal Revenue Service. The deadline for replacing the current systems is December 2025.
The Federal Revenue Service has officially changed the way it accesses its public data. With the publication of COTEC Ordinance No. 234, the agency is now requiring the use of more secure digital technologies by federal public administration institutions. The measure marks the end of the Host on Demand (HOD) system, which has been used for decades for this type of query.
