🔥The US Prioritizes Trade Negotiations with Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam
The administration of former President Trump recently announced a list of three countries prioritized for trade negotiations: Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. These are strategic partners currently facing high tariffs under the 'Liberation Day' policy framework, part of efforts to reduce the US trade deficit while also boosting US energy and agricultural exports.
According to sources from the US Department of Commerce, Japan is currently making significant progress in the bilateral negotiation rounds, particularly regarding the opening of service and technology markets. South Korea is in a phase of technical dialogue, focusing on removing non-tariff barriers. As for Vietnam, although it has proposed delaying certain tariffs and opening up more to US goods, these proposals have not yet been approved by Washington.
