$BTC

The British bank Standard Chartered is aiming higher now that Bitcoin has managed to recover the key six-figure mark.

Bitcoin (BTC) surged on Thursday by approximately 4.5% to a price of USD $100,000 and continued to rise to a level last seen in January, when the flagship cryptocurrency broke historic price highs above USD $109,000.

As the bullish momentum continues to gain strength, Geoffrey Kendrick, head of digital assets at Standard Chartered, has retracted his previous prediction for the second quarter of 2025, estimating that the asset could experience a breakout above the previously indicated level of USD $120,000 before July.

I apologize that my target of USD $120k Q2 may be too low.

Kendrick suggested last month that Bitcoin could break a new record of $120,000 this very quarter. However, in a note sent to clients on Thursday, he corrected himself saying that his previous projection now “seems very attainable.”
