$ETH #ETH

The Ethereum (ETH) currency has seen a significant rise this week, surpassing $2,400 before stabilizing around $2,300, supported by investor optimism following the implementation of the "Pectra" upgrade on May 7, 2025.

"Pectra" is the largest update to Ethereum since the merge in 2022, introducing 11 technical improvements, including streamlining the wallet experience and increasing the maximum storage from 32 to 2,048 ETH per validator, which enhances network efficiency.

Despite these developments, Ethereum still lags behind Bitcoin in terms of performance, having declined by 45.5% since the beginning of the year, and faces challenges such as rising costs and slower transactions compared to competitors like Solana.

Analysts expect the price to face strong resistance at the $2,500 level, with the potential for a pullback if profit-taking continues, as $12 billion worth of ETH was sold in a single day after the upgrade.

Nonetheless, some experts believe that Ethereum could reach $3,000 in the coming weeks if positive momentum persists
