Hamas: Ceasefire Talks Futile Amid Ongoing Hunger in Gaza; 59 Killed in Israeli Strikes
Ceasefire negotiations hold no value while Israel’s “war of hunger and genocide” continues in Gaza, senior Hamas official Bassem Naim said on Tuesday, May 6.
In an interview, Naim emphasized that there is “no point in discussing a ceasefire” as long as conditions of starvation and deprivation persist in the besieged enclave.
His comments came as Israeli airstrikes reportedly killed 59 more people across Gaza, further escalating the humanitarian crisis in the territory.
