Stripe has launched stablecoin-powered financial accounts in over 100 countries, allowing businesses to send, receive, and hold US-dollar stablecoin balances. The service supports Circle's USDC and Bridge's USDB stablecoins and enables businesses to hold, receive, and send funds in USD, EUR, and GBP. This move aims to provide stable financial infrastructure in regions with unstable currencies or limited access to banks, enabling fast settlement, protection against currency fluctuations, and programmable money. Stripe has also partnered with Visa and Ramp to enable stablecoin spending and corporate cards.
