You should know that @Polkadot is undergoing an important technical upgrade — migrating the three core functions of staking, governance, and balances from the relay chain to minimize the relay chain.

Well, enough chit-chat... The latest plan is to first test this migration process on the testnet Westend, scheduled for this Thursday, yes! That's today!!! 💥

Once the Westend test is complete, the engineering team will conduct a thorough end-to-end review of the entire system to ensure there are no issues, after which it will move into the next phase: officially launching the migration operation on @kusamanetwork, laying the groundwork for future implementation on the Polkadot mainnet.

This is also a key step for Polkadot to slim down the relay chain into a general settlement layer (JAM architecture)!
