#Gorilla Gorillas are the largest primates and are closely related to humans, sharing about 98% of our DNA. They are native to the forests of central Sub-Saharan Africa and are divided into two main species: the eastern gorilla and the western gorilla, each with subspecies like the mountain gorilla and the western lowland gorilla.

Gorillas are generally gentle and social animals, living in groups called troops led by a dominant male known as a silverback. They are mostly herbivores, eating leaves, stems, fruit, and sometimes insects. Gorillas communicate through vocalizations, gestures, and facial expressions.

Sadly, they are endangered, mainly due to habitat loss, poaching, and disease. Conservation efforts are ongoing to protect them and their natural habitats.
