The high-level Sino-U.S. economic and trade talks will be launched in Switzerland. Scholars: The outside world should not have high expectations for the 'He Bei Meeting.'
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce have successively released news announcing that the Vice Premier of the State Council will visit Switzerland from May 9 to 12, during which he will hold high-level economic and trade talks with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, marking the formal restart of economic and trade dialogue between the two countries. Scholars from both China and the U.S. believe that the outside world should not have overly high expectations for this contact meeting. It feels like the first time will definitely fall apart, and the market will plummet. Personally, I feel that at least three talks are needed to achieve some results. The 'understanding king' is indeed a king of turning against people. What are your thoughts? Feel free to leave comments for discussion!
