This is not just a return to crypto payments after a 6-year hiatus — it is a strategic move towards Web3. Stripe simplifies cryptocurrency integration for businesses: sellers receive dollars in their balance, and customers can pay for goods and services with stablecoins without complicated setups.
To strengthen its market position, Stripe acquired the startup Bridge for $1.1 billion. Bridge provides an API for processing stablecoin payments, allowing companies to easily integrate cryptocurrency transactions into their services.
