MEME Act / TRUMP
Senator Chris Murphy has introduced the Modern Emoluments and Malfeasance Enforcement (MEME) Act, a bill aimed at prohibiting the president, vice president, members of Congress, senior government officials, and their immediate families from creating, promoting, or profiting from any financial asset—including cryptocurrencies and memecoins.
The legislation comes in response to increasing scrutiny over politically-themed memecoins, such as TRUMP.
