Donald Trump is rewriting the narrative — and he’s not holding back.
In a powerful social media blast, the former U.S. President declared:
> “We won TWO world wars, but never took the credit. Others did! The only country that doesn't celebrate our victory is the United States of America — and it was OUR victory!”
Trump officially named May 8 as Victory Day — claiming the U.S. did far more than any other country to win World War II and even World War I.
But don’t expect fireworks and barbecues just yet.
Trump said no new holiday will be added, joking:
> “America already has too many holidays.”
His statement is sparking global conversation and reigniting debates about historical contributions and recognition.
Love him or hate him — Trump just put the spotlight back on U.S. wartime legacy.
