The Pectra upgrade has been successfully activated on the Ethereum network — one of the factors that JPMorgan previously referred to as a bullish driver for ETH.

The upgrade includes 11 improvements.

It is now possible to pay fees in other ERC20 tokens (for example, USDT), use multi-signatures, automate actions, and run functions that were previously only available through smart contracts.

The staking limit has been increased to 2048 ETH (previously 32 ETH).

The efficiency of data transfer between layers has been improved => fees in L2 networks (Arbitrum, Optimism, etc.) have decreased.
