#MEMEAct LOST 15,000 PLN WHILE INVESTING IN CRYPTOCURRENCY

A resident of the Ryki county lost over 15,000 PLN after deciding to invest in cryptocurrency. He was prompted to invest by an advertisement he encountered online. The informant deposited savings into an account on an investment platform for cryptocurrencies, which he set up with the help of a fake 'broker.' These savings were then transferred by this 'advisor' to the account of the brokerage firm he represented. At one point, when the resident of Ryki county refused to continue depositing money, he was informed that his account had been closed due to insufficient funds. It turned out to be a scam, and he reported the matter to the Police.

On Tuesday, a resident of Ryki county reported that he had fallen victim to fraudsters. According to the victim's account, in March of this year, while browsing the internet, he came across an advertisement offering favorable investments in cryptocurrencies. The man filled out a registration form providing his phone number. In response, he received a link and password to the trading platform, as well as a contact phone number for the broker.

The man was persuaded to invest and made several transfers to the account set up for him on the cryptocurrency platform. Subsequently, this money was transferred by the 'broker' to an account on the trading platform for further investment.

At one point, the resident of Ryki county refused to continue depositing money, and then he received information from the 'broker' about the closure of his account on the trading platform due to insufficient funds. When he contacted an employee of the cryptocurrency investment platform, he learned that he had probably fallen victim to a scam and decided to report the matter to the police.

As a result of the scam, the informant lost a total of over 15,000 PLN.
