#FOMCMeeting
The next Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting has already taken place on May 6–7, 2025. The FOMC meets eight times a year to discuss and set monetary policy, which influences interest rates, money supply, and overall economic stability. At the end of each meeting, the FOMC announces its decisions on U.S. interest rates, followed by a press conference led by the Federal Reserve Chair.
The FOMC meetings are scheduled in advance and typically span two days. Meetings marked with an asterisk (*) are associated with a Summary of Economic Projections.
