Breaking News: India Launches Missile Strikes on Pakistan

In a major escalation, India has launched missile strikes on nine sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The operation, codenamed "Operation Sandhoor," targeted locations allegedly linked to terrorist infrastructure.

According to the Indian Ministry of Defence, no Pakistani military facilities were targeted — only camps linked to terror groups suspected in the recent Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians in Jammu & Kashmir.

Pakistan has condemned the strikes, calling them "unprovoked aggression." Officials confirmed that a child was killed and two others injured when a mosque in Bahawalpur's Ahmadpur East was hit.

Tensions have soared following these events. Pakistan has vowed to respond at a time and place of its choosing, and global leaders are urging both sides to exercise restraint.

This marks one of the most serious escalations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors in recent years.
