Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has announced that the company will no longer release its XRP Markets Reports on a quarterly basis. This decision stems from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) utilizing these reports as evidence in its ongoing lawsuit against Ripple. Garlinghouse emphasized that while the reports were intended to enhance transparency, they were "used against" the company in legal proceedings.
Despite this change, Ripple remains committed to transparency. Future reports may adopt a different format or frequency to balance openness with legal considerations.
In the latest Q4 2023 report, Ripple highlighted significant growth in on-chain activity, including a 34% increase in transactions and over 30% growth in new wallets. Additionally, NFT activity surged, with more than 5 million mints and over 1 million sales, totaling nearly $10 million in sales volume.
