San Francisco-based blockchain company Ripple reported in its first quarter 2025 report that it held 4 billion 560 million XRP as of March 31. This amount indicates a 1.7 percent increase compared to the previous quarter.
In the same period, the amount of XRP in deposit accounts (secure systems where tokens are stored until certain conditions are met) decreased by 2.3 percent, from 38 billion tokens to 37 billion tokens. Ripple regularly removes 1 billion XRP from these escrow accounts every month. However, the company prefers to keep the supply limit by transferring a significant portion of these free tokens to the redeposit account.
The price of XRP is currently at $2.1. With this price, the total value of the tokens directly controlled by Ripple is $98 billion 600 million.
