After announcing his departure from the position of CEO of Berkshire Hathaway by the end of 2025, Buffett quietly got into his 2014 Cadillac XTS and drove home – to the very same house in Omaha that he purchased back in 1958 and where he still lives.
He received this XTS in 2014 at the insistence of his daughter Susie, who replaced the previous 2006 Cadillac DTS with only 19,000 miles on it.
Even after retiring, Buffett remains true to his principle of modesty: for the 'Oracle of Omaha,' what matters is not the number of cars, but the quality of life and the time saved from unnecessary expenses.
