#USHouseMarketStructureDraft A new draft on the market structure, presented by the U.S. House of Representatives, seeks to clarify the classification of digital commodity transactions. According to Forbes journalist Eleanor Terrett, the draft specifies on page 49 that transactions involving the sale of digital commodities do not constitute securities, as long as they do not grant the buyer ownership rights over the business, profits, or assets of the issuer. Essentially, buying and selling digital commodities in the secondary market, rather than directly from the issuer, will not automatically trigger U.S. securities laws unless the sale grants ownership or rights over the profits or assets of the company.
