The UK government has released a travel advisory recommending that its citizens avoid all non-essential travel to Pakistan and India due to heightened regional tensions.
The advisory cites security risks, particularly in areas near the India-Pakistan border and along the Line of Control (LoC). Travelers are encouraged to delay their trips and check the latest information on border crossings.
Currently, the only official crossing point for non-citizens is between Wagah (Pakistan) and Atari (India) in Punjab. Travelers must obtain an Indian visa in advance, as visa services are not available at the border.
