U.S. President Donald Trump expressed the opinion that America made the most significant contribution to victory in the world wars.
"We won two world wars, but we never took credit for it. Others do! Allies around the world celebrate our victory in World War II. The only country that does not celebrate is the United States of America, and the Victory was achieved only thanks to us," Trump wrote on social media.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump declared May 8 as Victory Day, stating that the U.S. did much more than other countries for victory in World War II; moreover, the States won both World War I and World War II. However, he did not declare these days as holidays, explaining that "there are already too many holidays in America.
