BlockBeats news, on May 6, according to Cointelegraph, the legal team of the founder of the cryptocurrency mixing service Samourai Wallet sent a letter to the Manhattan federal court on May 5, disclosing that the prosecution is suspected of concealing important evidence. The co-founder of Samourai Wallet was previously arrested for allegedly laundering $100 million from Silk Road and other illegal markets.

It is reported that the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) clearly stated 6 months before the indictment that Samourai Wallet did not need to apply for an MSB (Money Services Business) license. However, the prosecution still filed a lawsuit against the founder on the grounds of 'operating without a license' and concealed this key information for as long as a year and a half. The two defendants in the case, Rodriguez and Hill, were previously charged with assisting in over $2 billion in illegal transactions. The legal team has now requested the court to hold a hearing regarding the prosecution's delay in disclosing evidence and stated they will reapply to dismiss the charges.
