US President Donald Trump said that tariffs on Chinese exports to the United States "will eventually come down," after Beijing and Washington appeared to soften their stance on potential trade talks.
"I'm going to come down at some point, otherwise you can't do business with them. They want to do business very badly because their economy is collapsing," he said in an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" with Kristen Welker, which aired last Friday.
