❗️Programmers are being laid off around the world - artificial intelligence is displacing specialists, — media
The demand for IT specialties has dropped to a record low – since 2022, large companies have laid off more than 630,000 programmers. The reason is automation and the rapid implementation of neural networks that perform most tasks cheaper and faster. With the development of AI, the situation will only worsen.
Over the past two years, more than 27% of programmer positions in the USA have been cut – this is the worst figure since the 1980s.
Global technology companies, including Google, Meta, Amazon, Salesforce, and Autodesk, are cutting thousands of employees while simultaneously investing in AI.
